Le bambole che ho restaurato in questi anni sono molte , tra quelle fatte per me e quelle per le amiche o su commissione.

La mia prima Barbie, una BL Midge / My first Barbie, a BL Midge
Una bambolina rara prodotta da Mattel per poco tempo, questo esemplare ha anche i capelli piuttosto lunghi contrariamente al solito, ho giocato con lei per parecchi anni e quindi non era in buone condizioni ha subito diversi restauri. Innanzi tutto un repaint in quanto il face up originale era quasi del tutto andato, successivamente le sono state sostituite le gambe . Essendo una bend-legs montava gambe identiche a quelle della American Girl , virtualmente impossibile trovarle integre a meno di non essere disposti a sborsare una bella cifra... così ho optato per le gambe di una Malibù Japan opportunamente schiarite . Ma la cosa più particolare è il trucco diciamo una variazione sul tema... non volevo allontanarmi troppo dall'aspetto originale.
A rare doll from Mattel , produced for a short period of time, this sample also has unusual long hair . I played with it for several years and therefore was not in good condition. First of all I made a repaint as the original faceup was almost completely gone, later I replaced it's legs. Being a BL Midge it's legs are identical to those of American Girl Barbie, virtually impossible to find them intact unless you are willing to pay a considerable sum ... so I opted for the legs of a Japan Malibù Barbie , properly blanched. But most attention is the faceup, we can say a variation on the theme ... I did not want to deviate too much from the original faceup, so I've just added some shade to her eyes and irises ,in order to give it a more intensive glance.

Ho acquistato questa bambola on line , la presi per il vestito che indossava ,possedevo già diverse Midge e quindi non ero particolarmente interessata a lei in oltre avevo visto dalle foto dell'inserzione che era molto molto, sporca e nonostante tutto non ero preparata a quello che avrei ricevuto.... l'abito era perfetto ma la bambola non era sporca era "nera" e non per modo di dire letteralmente , il viso e le braccia erano di in bel bruno scuro....dovuto ad anni di esposizione in ambiente fumoso o forse hai fumi grassi di una cucina...chissà, ma aveva due pregi i capelli erano assolutamente perfetti e dato che indossava un cappello non erano neanche sporchi , si presentavano nella loro foggia originale segno evidente che la bambola non era mai stata giocata e anche il corpo pur annerito era in perfette condizioni senza neanche l'ombra di un graffio così decisi di provare a pulirla.....questo è il risultato ... al momento di ridipingere i tratti del volto che ne processo di pulizia erano stati cancellati completamente, decisi di provare a dipingerla nella rarissima versione con sguardo obliquo e denti.

The dress was perfect but the doll was not dirty it was "black", literally, the face and arms were of a beautiful dark brown .... due to years of exposure in a smoky room or perhaps in a kitchen ... who knows. But It had two qualities: hairs was absolutely perfect and since it wore a hat they were clean and still in their original shape, a clear sign that the doll was never been played, the body although blackened, was in perfect condition without even a shadow of a scratch so I decided to try to clean it,this is the result. When I've repainted the face, that the cleaning process had completely erased, I decided to try to reproduce the extremely rare version with side glance and teeth.

Questa è l'altra bambolina con la quale giocavo quando ero bambina.... ne avevo due sole purtroppo!!
È una Christie , era forse la mia preferita e quindi è arriva alla veneranda eta di oltre 40 anni in condizioni disastrose!
Perse i capelli che ero ancora bambina e la mia mamma le fece una parrucchina usando un pezzetto di pelliccia di agnellino nero, così è rimasta fin tanto che non mi sono decisa a rerootarla , è stato il primo rerooting che ho fatto...un pò naif diciamo...successivamente le reimpiantai anche le ciglia e ritoccai il trucco che era in parte scomparso ... ma le mancava anche un mignolo ! Il mignolo è stata l'ultima cosa ...c'è voluto un pò di tempo per apprendere come ottenere un risultato decente!

It's a Christie, was perhaps my favorite and so it reaches the venerable age of 40 years in disastrous conditions!
It lost the hair when I was still a child so my mother made a small wig using a piece of black lamb fur , so it has remained until I decided to reroot it. It was my first rerooting ... a little naif ... After that I had added also the eyelashes and restored the makeup that was partly disappeared ... but it had even a broken pinkie! The little finger was the last thing ... I had needed a while to learn how to obtain a decent result!

Ho acquistato questa Julia un anno fa circa in condizioni discrete ma con alcuni problemi , un pezzettino di vinile mancante sulla punta del naso i capelli parzialmente da rerootare, ciglia da rivedere.
